Extra Help With Prescription Drug Costs
Limited Income Subsidy (LIS) also known as “Extra Help” is a federal program that helps pay the cost of prescription drugs and the monthly premiums of drug plans. To qualify, you must meet income and asset guidelines that are determined by the federal government each year. In 2023 a person that qualifies for Full Extra Help will pay no more than $4.15 per refill for generic medications and no more than $10.35 per refill for brand-name medications.
